Mary Lou Mazzella was able to come to Idaho Falls to attend the retirement party. She is our Human Resouce Manager at the Fresno, CA main office of Pioneer Equipment Company. It was really nice of Herman and John D. to allow her to attend. On Saturday afternoon, Mary Lou and I went to the Summer Days festival being held at the new "Taylor Crossing on the river" development. There was a large waterfall in the roundabout that was not unvailed until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday night. I went by today and took pictures so that Mary Lou could see what it finally looked like.

PICTURES OF MY RETIREMENT
The party was held on Saturday, August 26th at the Shilo Hotel in Idaho Falls. Everything turned out super. Jana did a great job of planning everything - THANK YOU JANA - The food was good, and I think everyone had a nice time. I got pictures of almost everyone - just missed a few. I thought everyone might enjoy seeing the photos, especially the crew in Fresno. Now they can put some faces with names. Please forgive any misspelling or fuzzy pics. I'm getting old and the camera is a new toy.

JACK AND ALBERTA

Jack and Angie Swacina. Jack is my brother and he and Angie live here in Idaho Falls. My dad still lives in Chicago, and couldn't make it out for the party.

Wanda and Ron Wagoner. Wanda is my daughter-in-law from my previous marriage. Ron and her just got married in May. Happiness to both of them.

Jack's daughter Jana and her husband Ty. Out of our 6 children, we only have 2 that live around Idaho Falls. We get to spend a lot of time in the summer camping with them.

Jack's dad Doyle Skinner with our grandson Ryen. Thanks for the Reeses Ryen.

Our granddaughter Ashlyn is in the middle, with her mom on the right and her Aunt Peg on the left. If retirement doesn't make you feel old, your grandchildren growing up does.

Jerry and Peg Skinner. Jerry is Jack's brother and his #1 Truck Driver.

Eleanor Davies and her daughter Pat. Eleanor has been my neighbor and second mother since I moved to Shelley in 1986. She didn't want to miss the party, and her daughter Pat was nice enough to bring her.

Allen and Mitilda Kolbet were good customer's of ours at the Idaho Falls Store. Over the years we became good friends. Allen is recovery from a poisonous spider bit, and we were glad to see him getting back to normal.

Marv and Margaret Lowenberg. Marv was our Manager at the Idaho Falls Store and over the other 4 Stores from 1990 until about 3 years ago when he retired. He has promised to guide Jack and I on the secrets of a fun retirement.

Larry and Dorthea Hansen. I worked with Larry from the David Steed Days until a year or more ago when Larry retired from the Idaho Falls Store's Parts Department. He is the one who taught me to play Black Jack - don't know if that was a good thing or not.

Herb & Darlene Wilde. I worked with Herb at David Steeds, and then he retired from Case Power & Equipment. We still stay in touch camping, playing cards and a little gambling when we can.

Stan & Jill Barnes have been custodians of the Idaho Falls facility for many years, and now work at the Division Office also. They have become good friends.

Carla VonderLeith - Carla worked at our Blackfoot Idaho store until this past June. Her husband John works at the Idaho Division Office and handles the warranties for all 5 Idaho Stores. Right now John is in the hospital with the West Nile Virus. It appears that things have turned around and he is starting to recover, although it will be a long haul.

Linda Garman and Jana Day. Linda on the left has been with us since 1990 and now has the job of watching over Kreg at the Idaho Falls Store. Jana on the right works at the Idaho Division Office and watches over me.

Kreg Parmer and his wife Brenda. Brenda is holding Phillip's new baby, not their's. I have worked with Kreg since 1985, and he has moved from a "Lot Boy" to the Store Manager in Idaho Falls. Good job Kreg, hang in there.

Jeff Jensen and his wife Wanda. Jeff is another old timer and has worked at various positions in the Idaho Falls Store. Right now he is our outside Product Support specialist.

Richard Woodruff and his wife Kellee. Richard works in the Idaho Falls Parts Department. His main job is to sell parts to the mechanics - could be tough some times.

Kent Jordan and his wife Marie. Kent is the smiling, bubbly Service Manager at the Idaho Falls Store.

Daryn Acor and his wife Shanna. Daryn came to work as a mechanic at the Idaho Falls Store from the American Falls Store, and has been a great asset for us. A lot of days you'll see him out in the company truck going to fix some equipment.

Craig Bradley and his wife Connie. Craig took a few years off to rest, but came back to work again this summer as a refreshed mechanic at our Idaho Falls Store. WELCOME BACK

Jack Leigh and his wife Mary. Jack is one of the old timers and works as a mechanic out of the Idaho Falls Store. Usually he is out in the field fixing someone's equipment.

Dave Hager and his wife Jackie. Dave is a mechanic at our Idaho Falls Store.

Val Skinner - Besides being our Store Manager at the Rexburg Store, is also my brother-in-law. The cute little guy with him is his grandson Conner. He was born last October, and is growing like a weed (a cute weed).

Matt & Lindsay. Sorry Matt, I only took one picture and this is it. Matt works in the parts department in Rexburg and really does a good job. He is also our nephew and the father of Val's adorable grandson Conner.

Mike and his wife Cindy. Mike is the Parts Manager of our Rexburg Store. He did work in the parts department in Idaho Falls, but moved to the Rexburg Store when it opened.

The first Boyce Annual Reunion was held August 18, 19 and 20, 2006 at Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville, Utah. More then half of the family was represented, and a good time was had by all. They had a swimming area that had 7 pools, all at different temperatures - cool to hot. The kids worked on different crafts. All the food was excellent. It looks like it will be held around the same time next year, and at the same location since it is centrally located. Hope the attendance will build every year.

Jack and me getting in the swing of relaxing and learing how to retire.

Sonja holding a quilt that Jack & I purchased at the silent auntion. They had a raffle and auction to raise money to start a kitty to cover expenses for future reunions. Roberta made the quilt and did a beautiful job.

Jana, Ashlyn, Ty and Ryen. Today (Aug. 20th) was also Ryen's birthday, he turned 15. Mike's twins had a birthday today to, they turned 7.

Here are our two invalids. Abi had a treatment at the hospital in Salt Lake City on Friday and Ashlyn is still recovering from her surgery. Both seemed pretty happy and looked like they were having a fun weekend.
