Christmas Day we spent the afternoon at Jana & Ty and then went to Jack & Angie's in the evening. Rhonda & Steve sent us this gorgeous sign for our 5th wheel camper. Mother Nature sent us 7 more inches of snow along with 30 mile an hour winds.

This is our driveway today the 24th. Brent Shumway had to plow us out yesterday before we could get the car out. We're supposed to get another dump of snow for Christmas - Arizona is looking better and better every day.
Tuesday - December 23rd --- We had our Pioneer Division Christmas Party at the Mountain River Ranch. This is Jack & me riding in the horse driven sleigh. It was pretty cold, but we all had a great time.
This is my boss Farrell with his wife Linda (who does my hair) and their youngest son Derek and his wife Cody.
This is my buddy Jana and her husband Rod. Rod is a mechanic at our Pioneer Store in Idaho Falls.
I work with Chris, and this is his wife Marianne and two of his children - Zach & Megan.
John works with me, and his wife Carla used to work at our Pioneer Store in Blackfoot.

We all met at Mountain River Ranch and had hot cidar until the 5 sleds pulled by horses come to take us to the Meadow Muffin building for dinner and entertainment.
Mountain River put on some entertainment after we ate (you could have either Prime Rib or Cornish Hen). There was music, jokes and magic. The guy on the right playing the fiddle was only 16 and he was fantastic. In the bottom picture, the young lady was from England and they tucked two scarves tied together into the neck of her blouse - then she pulled on side and he pulled the other and there was a bra tied between the scarves.

December 13th - Saturday --- Had a good flight home last night, and Jack & Angie picked us up at the airport. BUT, between last night and tonight, we got between 6 and 8 inches of snow, plus a lot of wind and cold air. I guess Mother Nature didn't want us to miss out on the good stuff.
December 12th - Friday --- Drove from Prescott to Las Vegas, and flew home to Idaho Falls. We didn't really have time to stop at Hoover Dam and look around, so maybe when we fly back on January 5th we can do the tour thing.

Pictures of both sides of the Highway 93 bridge being built over the gorge at Hoover Dam. Don't think I'll ever drive over that hummer.

This Mural was painted on one of the buildings in downtown Prescott. It was too large to get it all in one picture. It took over two years to paint.

This is Granite Mountain. Jen climbed the flat side of the mountain when she was in college.
These are pictures of the Granite Dells located just outside of Prescott.

On Thursday we went to the Sharlot Hall Museum. It was very interesting, but I forgot to take a picture of the house where the first Territory of Arizona Governor lived.

I think that Jen really liked the Smart Car. She made it a three seater. Jack did ride in the back a couple of times so that Jen could ride in front like a normal person.

Jack tried taking pictures of the Court House and the Christmas Tree in the Town Square. The lights on the tree flashed on and off along with the Christmas music that was playing. Everytime he thought all the lights were on, by the time he hit the button the tree would go dark.

The following pictures are of The Palace Restaurant and Saloon. On July 14, 1900, The Palace was destroyed by the Whiskey Row fire. The ornately carved 1880's Brunswick Bar and Wooden Ice Box, which are still in use, were carried to safety across the street to the plaza by patrons, where they continued to drink the night away and watch the fire.

Wednesday night we had dinner at the Stockman's Bar and Grill - pretty good steaks.
Wednesday night we went to the top of the mountain above Jen's house to see the sun set. Jack and I are in front of the Sun setting and to the East you could see the Moon. Jen was trying to scare me by standing on the rocks at the top.
