February 21st - Saturday Evening --- We all went to the Finals of the "Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association". It was really exciting. Each group - men & women - had to ride through different patterns while shooting balloons. They shot 5 balloons with one revolver and then had to quick draw a second revolver and shot 5 more balloons. One event they had to switch from a revolver to a rifle. This was something to see.
Introduction to the Finals.

Misc. pictures of the riders going through their patterns and shooting the balloons.

This poor fellow lost the blanket under his saddle (right side of picture) just as he entered the shooting pattern. He lost the saddle and fell off (left side of picture) as he was finishing up.
This is a little 5 year old who shot all 8 of his balloons.

Zach - this is a picture of Opa Jack and an Alligator just for you.
February 21st - Saturday afternoon --- Rhonda, Steve, Luke, Jack and I went to a Chili Cook-off in Jacksonville. It was put on by the Shriners to raise some money. Earlier there was a motorcycle parade, but we missed that. There were a variety of chilli's, and you could get a sample for 50 cents. I tried 4 of them, and they were all good.

A couple of girls from the Hooter's Chili Booth.
There was a live bank playing all the time we were there.
Rhonda's dog Gizmo with his new haircut.
February 17th - Tuesday --- Grandson Luke had his first Junior Varsity Baseball game. He is really doing great. His team won this game 4 to 3, and their Friday game 6 to 0.
Luke is the one in the back playing center field.
Luke's High School really had a nice baseball field.
February 15th - Sunday --- We went to a new car show in Jacksonville. There must have had a couple of hundred new cars, trucks etc. These are a few of our favorites. The first three pictures are of Steve test driving a Toyota.

Jack really loved the step-up built into the truck.
Lexus - one of my favorites.
Luke has his drivers permit now so he had to check out a few of the trucks.

February 14th - Saturday --- Rhonda, Steve, Cherri, Jack & I went for a boat ride through the Okefenokee Swamp. The weather wasn't the greatest, but it was really interesting.
Pictures of the waterways through the swamp.

I was actually taking a picture of the bird taking off.
We saw about 5 alligators on the trip, but I only got good pictures of a couple of them.

Cherri getting ready for the rain.
Rain for all of the six miles back to our starting point.

Grandson Luke missed out on our trip to the Okefenokee Swamp on Saturday and stayed home to do a math homework assignment. It all had to do with triangles and then you had to decorate it - naturally Baseball theme.
