I took these pictures for my brother, Jack. We ran into this guy at the Waffle House and he had this 1937 Harley. It still runs great, and he has been to every State in the U.S. (except Hawaii) and thru all the provinces of Canada. He is really proud of it.

January 29th - Thursday --- Bobby had his 20 Year Navy Retirement Ceremony at the Navy Base in Gulfport, MS. It was a very impressive ceremony, I was really glad we were able to attend it. Now he has to learn how to be a civilian again.

Bobby built his own Service Box.

January 24th - Saturday --- We finally made it to Gulfport, MS. This is a picture of my son Bobby, his wife Karen and their new addition - Trip.
January 23rd - Friday --- We stayed in a very nice RV park in Lafayette, Louisiana. It had all cement RV pads and it's own lake.
January 23rd - Friday --- We finally got to Louisiana. We traveled about 880 miles to cross Texas, it took forever. I will never make fun of Nebraska again.

January 20th - Tuesday --- Some rock formations that we saw in Western Arizona as we left for Gulfport, MS.

January 17th - Saturday --- There was an antique Tractor and Car show in Wellton. There was definitely more old cars than old tractors. There were a lot of people and it was really hot - around 80+. This is one of the few places we've gone to that had a bunch of kids - usually it's just old people.

January 16th - Friday --- Vickie, Bob, Jerry, Judy, Carol, Jack and I went to visit the City of Falicity, CA. It is located eight miles from the California/Arizona state line. The Official Center of the World is the dot on the bronze plaque within the pyramid. The center of the world or universe can be anywhere. It was set by law, based upon a now popular book for children - "Coe the Good Dragon at the Center of the World".

Judy, Jerry and Carol (Judy's sister-in-law) were the only ones to climb the stairs and visit the Church.
The Church was built on the Hill of Prayer. They moved in 150,000 tons of earth to build the hill. The Church will always remain the highest point in the Town of Falicity.

The Sundial at Falicity is a three-dimensional bronze of Michelangelo's Arm of God.
There was a 25 foot section of the original stairway of the Eiffel Tower.
There were 8 100 foot Granite Museum Walls with different bits of history engraved on them.

These are the water towers in Yuma. They spent $75,000 having them painted.

January 9th - Friday --- We left Laughlin for Wellton, AZ, but stopped at a few neat spots along the way. This was the front lobby at the Blue Water Casino in Parker, AZ. Not only did it have beautiful blue pools falling down in waterfalls, the kids were able to swim and tube between levels.

We stopped at Lake Havasu, NV to see the London Bridge. The 930 foot bridge was purchased from the City of London, England and opened in Lake Havasu in 1971. The total cost was between $5.1 million and $7.5 million. As the bridge was dismantled each of the 10,276 pieces was marked with a number so placement in the reconstruction could be the same in Nevada.
The bridge traveled 7,000 miles to its new home in the desert.

We stopped at an old gold mining town called Oatman. Between 1900 and 1930 as many as 40,000 people lived there. Right now it is almost deserted, with just some souvenir shops and burrows that roam the streets.

A couple of the uptown stores in Oatman, AZ.

These guys put on a little skit. First they robbed a bank and then they had a shoot out. It was really cute. After the skit, they took up a donation and all the money goes to the Shriners to help with transportation for patients and their families.
